Great news for all you Dorothy Martin fans! In early April I heard from my agent and we have a contract in the works for two new Dorothys!

Dorothy's first adventure, A Dark and Stormy Night, will be published late 2010. It's a modernized version of the traditional country-house murder: a limited group of suspects completely isolated from the rest of the world by a storm, and a skeleton discovered under a tree.

Another Dorothy Martin mystery is scheduled for publication late 2011 - both books published by Severn House. After her long retirement in my computer, Dorothy is out and active again!

Great news also for Hilda fans! I don't have a title yet for her next adventure, but Perseverance Press will be publishing the 7th in the Hilda Johansson series in the Fall of 2011. Stay tuned...

I like to call my books “cheerful mysteries.” For despite all signs to the contrary, I continue to believe the world is a good place and most of her people are trying to do their best. So my books reflect that philosophy and I hope this site does, too.
